On Farm Research
AgriNetworks offers an independent farm-based research service to the agriculture and animal health sectors. We have more than 20 years experience in large on-farm projects ranging from investigative studies (eg Merino 100% Project) to more applied research.

AgriNetworks is unique in having a wide network of both farmers and veterinarians who are willing and capable of performing to a set of high standards and complex protocols. Our research farms are typical commercial farm business operations in the sheep, beef, deer and dairy sectors. When required we can subcontract external veterinarians under strict compliance.

We are very experienced in the organisation and implementation of multi-site projects so are able to replicate the same project on a number of farms throughout New Zealand.
At all times we follow the Good Practice Guidelines promoted by the National Animal Ethics Advisory Committee.
We have our own quality assurance system where standardised processes and facilities are documented. Non-standardised tasks and facilities are specified in the project protocol.
Generally, we act as the Study Director and when requested can prepare protocols, arrange appropriate personnel, find suitable farms, collect and process data, in-source or out-source statistical analysis and prepare a report to a standard that could be published in a peer-reviewed science journal. In most cases we are able to provide cost-benefit estimates based on our experience and involvement with farm businesses through our StockCARE® programme.

All information related to the study is regarded as confidential and will not be released without the approval of the Project Sponsor.
We are a small but very flexible organisation with very short communication lines so are very well positioned to meet the needs of any of our customers.
